Academic and Professional Experience

Professor Vincent Ng currently teaches the Masters in Finance and MBA Programmes at the HKUST Business School and has been working in the finance industry for over 20 years. Professor Ng is currently a Managing Director and Co-Head of Asia at Partners Group, a global private markets asset management firm headquartered in Switerland. Prior to joining Partners Group, Professor Ng was a partner and headed up the Asia-Pacific operations at Atlantic-Pacific Capital, Inc., which is one of the largest global, privately owned placement and advisory firms dedicated to raising capital for alternative investments. Professor Ng also started and managed the Fund Placement Advisory Group at Deloitte & Touche Corporate Finance in Hong Kong and has worked in the London offices of Deloitte and Arthur Andersen where he provided financial advisory services such as audit and assurance, financial due diligence, M&A structuring, and company valuations. Professor Ng has worked across a wide range of private market strategies, including private equity, venture capital, infrastructure, secondaries, energy, credit and real estate.

Professor Ng earned a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Economics from Queen Mary, University of London and a Master of Science in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics. He is also a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) in the United Kingdom, a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®), and a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA®). Professor Ng currently sits on board of the English Schools Foundation (ESF)’s Endowment Fund and HandsOn Hong Kong, and was the former Vice President and board member of the CFA Society in Hong Kong.
