Academic and Professional Experience
Professor Vincent Ng currently teaches the Masters in Finance Programme at the HKUST Business School and has been working in the finance industry for over 20 years. Professor Ng is currently a partner and heads up the Asia-Pacific operations at Atlantic-Pacific Capital, Inc., which is one of the largest global, privately owned placement and advisory firms dedicated to raising capital for alternative investments. Professor Ng leads the deal origination, project management, and product distribution activities across Asia, including markets such as Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Japan, Korea, India, Australia, and Southeast Asia. He has worked on more than 120 global transactions and fundraisings that have included strategies such as private equity, venture capital, infrastructure, secondaries, energy, credit, and real estate. Professor Ng is a regular speaker at major private equity and industry conferences across the region.
Prior to joining Atlantic-Pacific Capital, Professor Ng started and managed the Fund Placement Advisory Group at Deloitte & Touche Corporate Finance in Hong Kong where he was responsible for deal origination, project management, and distribution for the Asia-Pacific region. He has also worked in the London offices of Deloitte and Arthur Andersen where he provided financial advisory services such as audit and assurance, financial due diligence, M&A structuring, and company valuations.
Professor Ng earned a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Economics from Queen Mary, University of London and a Master of Science in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics. He is also a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) in the United Kingdom, a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®), and a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA®). Professor Ng currently sits on the board of director for a number of listed and private companies and is currently also a board member of the English Schools Foundation (ESF)’s Endowment Fund and the charity, HandsOn Hong Kong, and was the former Vice President and board member of the CFA Society in Hong Kong.
