Industry Experience
Ir Professor Raymond Fok serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Finance at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He is a seasoned, multidisciplinary senior executive with 30 years of global leadership experience spanning real estate, data centres, optical communication, cloud computing and AI infrastructure industries across global markets, specializing in corporate development, M&A, investment and portfolio management.
Ir Prof. Fok earned his Bachelor of Engineering in Electronic Engineering from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 1998, followed by a Master of Science in Global Business from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2001.
Ir Prof. Fok commenced his professional journey in 1998 as an Executive Trainee at PCCW, building a distinguished career within the Telecommunications and IT infrastructure sectors. He held leadership roles overseeing corporate development, product development and profit-and-loss management at globally renowned organisations including Verizon, Telstra and Reliance Communications.
In 2011, Ir Prof. Fok pivoted into senior executive roles within the real estate development and investment management industry. Most notably, he was General Manager of Real Estate Portfolio Management & Transaction Strategy, as well as the Executive Assistant to the Chairman and Managing Director at Sun Hung Kai Properties – Hong Kong’s largest property developer. He held senior executive appointment at Cushman & Wakefield and was also the Director of CEO Office and Head of Corporate Development at Chinachem Group, where he spearheaded corporate development initiatives, cross border M&A, large-scale real estate investment transactions, and strategic asset & business portfolio management.
Over his career, Ir Prof. Fok has originated, structured, led & completed landmark transactions totalling in excess of US$10 billion. Two of these flagship deals received the RICS “Best Deal of the Year” accolade in 2018 and 2024 respectively, awarded by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
In recent years, Ir Prof. Fok has channeled his multidisciplinary expertise into the ESG and social impact industries. In his capacity as Chief Honorary Advisor of the Fullness Social Enterprises Society (FSES), he fosters high-impact cross-sector collaboration to scale sustainable, commercially viable initiatives globally, advancing ESG excellence and delivering long-term shared value and tangible social impact for Hong Kong and the wider global community.
